Senior Manager, Renewable Solutions

Scope of Position:

  • Work alongside the Director of Sustainability in implementing renewables and sustainability solutions with current and prospective customers.
  • Helping clients reduce their carbon footprint while operating a profitable business
  • Identify, develop, and manage a pipeline of growth initiatives, internal and/or external, by leveraging existing relationships with target customers and establishing new relationships.
  • Conceiving and implementing sustainability strategies, assessing and managing environmental impacts and addressing the energy efficiency and carbon management challenges with the intent of enhancing shareholder value with a specific focus on the competitive areas within PJM, CAISO, NYISO, ISONE and ERCOT regions.
  • Providing strategic direction and guidance on ways to enhance and expand service delivery to the client’s leadership, including leveraging sustainability partners, internal collaborations and the broader Energy and Sustainability Services team
  • Demonstrating innovative thinking and proactive management in bringing new sustainability ideas and solutions to the client, and ensuring they are rolled out effectively
  • Act as the subject matter expert to educate and guide key stakeholders on energy and sustainability topics and requests

Qualifications:

  • Experience and passion for renewable energy systems
  • 10+ years of industry experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree – Engineering, a plus
  • Familiarity with energy procurement process and renewable energy options
  • Understanding and knowledge of Renewable development process
  • Prior experience with sustainability assessments, planning and program development, and other areas related to renewables
  • Ability to read and understand on site generation proposals
  • Ability to plan and prioritize deadlines and think strategically to identify innovative solutions

Scope of Position:

The Client Services Team handles all post-contract execution matters including:

  • Liaison between Energy Advisors and Energy Suppliers to facilitate the resolution of general client service issues, billing issues, and tax exemption issues on behalf of Tradition Energy clients
  • Contact local utilities on behalf of Tradition Energy clients to help resolves issues with or obtain information from the local utility
  • Manage the upload of client invoices, contracts, and Tradition Energy market research into Tradition Energy’s propriety software platform
  • Ensure that Suppliers begin serving Tradition Energy Clients on time by providing the clients’ Enrollment Verification Services
  • Perform Contract Modifications (adds/deletes) on Tradition Energy client’s behalf

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience within the energy or other related industry preferred but not required
  • Bachelor’s Degree – preferably with a Business related focus
  • Internships within Energy or Finance are desirable but not required

 Scope of Position:

  • Write daily energy market commentary and produce ad-hoc reports on power, natural gas, and utilities.
  • Conduct a variety of commodity pricing forecasts used in the firm’s quarterly market forecast reports.
  • Assist Tradition’s retail energy advisors with market due diligence, purchasing strategies, and legislative developments.
  • Coauthor the firm’s weekly US as well as monthly energy market reports.
  • Research regulatory developments in the power and utilities sector and author Tradition’s monthly Rate Case Newsletter.
  • Communicate directly with News/Media outlets on an as-needed basis.
  • Learn utility supply tariff structures and be able to provide Utility Price To Compare (PTC) for deregulated markets.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Experience in Energy Commodity markets. Electricity and Natural Gas experience preferred.
  • Experience in Research or Journalism preferred.
  • Familiarity with Bloomberg Terminal a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite including Word, PowerPoint, Publisher and Excel (Visual Basic skills a plus).
  • Ability to chart and manipulate data using Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent writing skills.
