Tradition Energy Senior Director Dan Montgomery Serves As Panelist At Energy Industry Forum

Conversation Focused On Evolving Channel Growth Strategies

Houston, TX – May 7, 2015  —  Yesterday, Dan Montgomery, Senior Director, Tradition Energy, participated on a panel at DNV GL’s (Formerly DNV KEMA) 26th Retail Energy Executive Forum held at the Charleston Place Hotel, in Charleston, South Carolina. At the Forum,  a premier event for the retail energy industry, Mr. Montgomery was joined by industry leaders representing national energy supply, energy consulting and energy technology firms.

Channels to engage customers have evolved from direct, to indirect, to partnership models (and commonly a combination of approaches). As customers are increasingly exposed to more players, more technology options and platforms, more pricing decisions, and more “real time” choices, the landscape around channel partner-customer relationships is evolving.

“The intermediary channel has evolved tremendously over the past 10 years, but it has become very fragmented, said Mr. Montgomery. “Embracing the new entrants and the changes to the retail energy space will be two of the biggest challenges facing companies over the next few years. Now more than ever it’s important to engage in a partnership that will help you navigate the energy marketplace and evaluate new opportunities.”
